Exhausts
Automatic guys, what are you running? I have magnaflow cat backs. Drone is bad at cruising speeds. Looking to do something different. Maybe just an axle back kit to bolt on to my current system.

2018, 2ss, Automatic with: K&N black-hawk cold air intake, Flowmaster American thunder axleback 8177746, and Range AFM disabler Plugged into OBD2.
(Loud on first startup, but then once the car is warmed up, has a low rumble to it. I do not notice much drone when cruising.) Tomorrow, I am getting installed the Flowmaster scavenger x pipe. I will let you know if it sounds any louder. |

I just put a Borla S-type Dual mode axleback with carbon fiber tips on my 2016 SS A8 Vert. Love the sound, lots of low rumble and no drone whatsoever. I do have AFM disabled in my tune also though, not sure how much that affects it.

Flowmaster NPP with CA cat delete pipes and Afm disabled. Significant drone around 1500rpm with valves open, minimal with valves closed. Above that rpm none either way.

If you do not have NPP, check out Flowmaster's outlaw axleback.

If you don't have the NPP. I would suggest almost anything except for Magnaflow, Flowmaster, and Hooker. The Flowmaster Outlaw (non-npp) is basically a straight-pipe. The drone KingLT1 was referencing is with Valve opens and that's when it's running through the Outlaw muffler. Valves closed is through the Super 44 muffler.
Personally I have the Borla Atak catback. 0 drone. MBRP is also good as well if you like loud. Despite it looking like a straight pipe setup, which is normally known to drone, it features a Helmholtz resonator to get rid of drone. |

Check out Solo Performance. They have listed only for NPP 6th gen replacement on their website, but if you got in touch with Steve I bet he'd be able to get you something that would work with non NPP replacement.
