Quieting this car

2017 SS, my car is LOUD... Headers, cam, NPP borla atak ... its loud.

I want to start tracking it, but due to the noise restrictions there is no way I'll ever be able to. I'm trying to think of relatively easy ways to quiet it down.

I'm thinking about putting the factory non NPP on it, but I'm not even sure that will be enough. Maybe adding outlets pointing away from the sound meter also

Has anyone ever tried packing the muffler? I don't care about how it'll sound, just don't want to create excessive back pressure, and to be under 103db.

Any suggestions? Or experience packing a muffler?

Some have used the Borla Resonator part # 60608. I’m not sure if that’s enough to get you where you want to be.

I have headers and Borla Atak without NPP. It was loud. Just did a cat delete and now it's insane.

I've always thought resonators were to change the tone of the exhaust, not to potentially quiet it down. I'll definitely check into that.

The Laguna pipes are an option, and probably have to happen no matter what else I try to do. I'd love to have just a simple muffler change handle most of this.

I just ordered a sound meter to see exactly where I'm at.

I know!!! I've read the posts about stock cars getting booted off the tracks.

I'd like to get close, then figure out the laguna pipe part.

This is NOT what I want to hear right now!!! I just ordered a sound meter deal so we'll see what the readings actually are.

Well Oldman, that leaves me little hope of getting under 103db without the Laguna pipes.

I sent an email to Borla to see what they'd recommend.

What?? I thought you were happy with the 2 cat/60608 arrangement. What happened?

You have a cam, good luck trying to make it quieter.

I suggest these for you, see pic.
