former 2019 GT M6 Pp1 owner who just traded in for a my20 my 2ss. the 5.0 is an awesome motor performance wise, but the ticks and rattles got to me. I have 4 different noises including a vibration documented from the dealer telling me they were "normal". Typewriter tick? okay, got it. Throw out bearing making a clunk noise in gear, 2k rattle, random vibration at speed that would last until I slow down- nah. I think the mustang was more comfortable and better looking (subjective). But after having a 13 and 15 1le and a 17 2ss, I feel chevy does small blocks right. Might not be the most "exotic" but it doesn't have people at my work asking what's wrong with it because its ticking and rattling like crazy.

I’ve owned two 5.0 cars and on my second lt1 . Nether one of my 5.0 cars pulled like the LT1 mod for mod NA up top. So to the quite proven part is false to me I’ve gapped a lot of new A10s on the street and track haven’t seen a 5.0 trap anywhere close to what I’ve ran here lol

Yes sir. You hit the nail on the head on that last line. My 2019 ripping at 7500 rpm? A blast. the other 98 percent of the ownership experience was shit. It was worth losing my ass on the trade in (actually I didn't do bad, interest rates are excellent right now) just not to have to deal with all the little build quality issues with Mustangs.

My perfect car would be the camaro with a coyote
sure i’d miss the off idle torque. But I find the dr jekyl and mr hide personality of the coyote to be so much fun. The lt1 is just always angry. The mustang is like a regular ol car until you stomp the go pedal. |

(Like when I gave a friend of ours, a 73-yo lady a ride, I knew she wasn't the kind who would beg me to floor it, or when the one kid of mine who doesn't like aggressive cornering and meaty acceleration is in the car.)

The coyote mustang feels like an accord v6 coupe when you’re daily driving it at part throttle. The lt1 never feels that way. It’s just the nature of dohc with variable valve timing. |

Aha, I see, thanks. Indeed I have not driven a coyote V8, but if that's the case I definitely made the right choice

Having owned all three ..2015 GT , 2018 SS and now a challenger 1320 I can tell you how I feel about each one of them power wise ..The GT great mid and high RPM power ,Very weak low end .. Still a great running car for a very small engine .. The SS great bottom end and strong mid range but lacking top rpm power Vs the GT .. My challenger 1320 has crazy low end power ( much more than the SS ) Mid range power is strong but just like the SS top end power is lacking ..Both the SS and challenger just run out of wind at around 6 grand when the GT is just getting happy .. My GT stock ran 12.60s at best ..The SS ran 12.01 at best .. The challenger 1320 ran 11.64 @ 117 best so far .. Keep in mind looking at the numbers that the 1320 is not a scat pack 392 that runs much slower in stock trim ..1320 has factory drag goodies from the demon that make it run those number 100% stock ..And keep in mind it's a limited production run of cars. ( 1053 built in 2019 ) and the weight is 4150 unlike the hell cat at 4400+ pounds..
.. Your are not likely going to see one often on the street or the drag strip .. I like all three cars very much and would have no problem owning anyone of them again . |

Coyote is like two honda motors welded together. Camaro = Chassis and suspension out of a $100k plus european sports car with a motor that prefers mickey thompsons and skinnies up front. Mustang = honda accord with the engine out of a 100k European sports car. |
