Just to be clear, you spend ~$7K more on the 1LE package and then add another ~$3K-$4K in new tires and wheels just to bring the performance back to ZL1 parameters and still have the harsher ride?
The ZLE ricers don't listen to logic from lesser owners of ZL1s or god forbid SSs like myself. The fact is if they bought a ZLE and don't track it, they bought it for ricer reasons.

And how much of that do you use on the streets and at cars and coffee? Well i'm sure you talk about it a bunch at cars n coffee. But it's funny that you think the track cooling is ZLE specific because guess what? My SS has it too.

But it nowhere near warrants mounting the factory rims and tires.
When I purchased the car I knew I was getting the Z28 rims with the PS4S tires.
I was more than willing to spend that money.
I get what your saying though. And I agree that for some people the wiser move is to buy the ZL1. But why would I buy the ZL1 if I want a ZLE?
That to me doesn’t make sense.
This is 100% the right setup and decision!!!

And while your last question may be true and it's not my money, the fact is what i said above for anyone that doesn't take a ZLE to the track.

But you're right about paying 1LE price and then more to back it down to regular standards.
Proper ZLE owner!

I bought the ZLE because it's already optimized for road racing ( I genuinely have no desire to mod anything about it) AND it's legal to drive on the street all I want. All the time I drive on the street builds an intuition of the feel of the car's dynamics. I don't think of wearing the 3Rs out street driving as a waste of money because that's all just more experience that will make my track days more enjoyable. I'll be that much more connected to the car, i.e. my "Iron Man suit". .

Just another perspective to offer that I think other racers might share. It's an emotional perspective, but so was the decision to buy the car.

An even more proper ZLE owner! I'm just saying if I purchased one I would definitely have street wheels/tires. I wear out my regular G3s too fast from track and street that I even want lesser on my car sometimes.

I wouldn’t take a SS to cars and coffee, every 16 year old owns one. Sound like you have ZL1 envy. You should stay in your lane.

I love it when people who don’t even own a ZL1 or ZLE try to tell us how we should be driving our cars.

I love it when ricers say this every time i call them out. Like I said it's your money, I'm just stating the facts.

Everyone that owns a certain vehicle it is the best that ever been made, If they own Zl1 it is the best.If they own a ZL1E it is the best. It does not matter who owns what it is all in one favor, It is the price we pay to own the best vehicle we think is the best. Close subject
