Selling price

Jim Ellis Atlanta
Took 13 days for them to accept.

Know your facts, know what you want.
I walked up and said I want this car, this is what I will pay, call me when you wanna sell. Then leave.

Dealerships hate me but I get what I want.

Yeah I hear you. Only reason I say it may be worth looking into is if I purchased my car right now, with the conversion, American money I would walk out at just over 64 OTD. That’s considerably less than 73 OTD. Now if you do lose the warranty then I would say definitely no don’t bother. But, if warranty was still valid, he’ll a bit of hassle for 9 grand savings.....I don’t know to me it might be worth the hassle of some paperwork and a cross border trip and also some waiting time till this corona crap settles down.
Just a thought and more or less trying to help as you could take advantage of our low dollar value right now. Just throwing that out there.

OP, if you are not turned off by a long drive, check out this one:

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

Buy it in CA, drive home to MI. A nice long drive will help bond you with your new baby.

;-)

Will not be worthwhile. First of all, see the fine print.

"Net Price DOES NOT include dealer or vendor installed upgrades, accessories, or added aftermarket items installed by Harbor Chevrolet." and "Must be a current owner or lessee of a Ford Mustang and purchase/lease a Camaro for at least 30 days prior to the new vehicle sale".

They are pricing assuming you have a mustang it seems like. Also if going to california and driving this back...factor in plane ticket, gas cost of literally driving all the west to east on a zl1, and higher tax percent in california the difference is all negated. Lastly it's in the bright red, not a color I'm looking for.

I'm still waiting for something good to match these magical deals others are getting for mid 60s OTD for ZLEs.

Just sit tight for a bit. I paid $65,500 OTD. OTD to me means every single fee included. That price for me was with Texas tax. You’ll get in that range soon.

When I was shopping I had the same problem. I couldn't understand why people in other states were thousands cheaper than locally. I finally went to buy one of those out of state ones and the otd price was the same as local. The fees etc. were ridiculous! I ended up buying a certified used one locally in the end as it was exactly what I wanted...

I get what OTD means, but in my state a ZLE selling for 67500 would have taxes of $4,378.50 added to it when you go to the DMV...get to write that check to get plates...are you OTD guys saying the dealerships paid that shit for you??

65k OTD? If someone find me that price out the door for ZLE in the one of the 3 colors I want...I'd give them $100 as a bonus since that's 5-8k cheaper than what I'm getting after emailing and talking to many dealers haha.

OTD generally means the price of the car plus all fees, registration, title, taxes, etc.

A more meaningful number is just the price of the car plus dealer fees since every state is different when it comes to sales tax and licensing fees.

Some states have 0 sales tax, others have 6-9.5%. Then you have states like TN that only charge $29 to tag it but states like CO, CA, NH, etc bend you over when it comes time to plate it.

Every dealer has their way of doing things with out of state taxes. Some will have you pay them the taxes and then they’ll in turn send you a check for that same amount to take to the DMV when registering. You’re paying it either way. These folks barely give you a full tank of gas. Paying your taxes for you no way.

Did you happen to pick yours up from Landers in Norman? They always had a pretty good selection. Seems inventory is low everywhere atm though.

that's what i'm saying, it's dependent on state. no way that OTD price includes another $4400 in tax the dealer just gifted to the buyer(6.5% here)...it's just not comparable IMO and like you said, the price of the car is the more meaningful number

Don't feel bad OP. I encountered the same thing here in FL. Nobody is willing to deal. The best deal I found once everything was said and done was $70,543 otd for a REGULAR 2019 ZL1 that didn't even have the red seatbelts! I've decided to wait it out a bit longer or go with my original plan of a slightly used one.
