Texas speed x pipe

Question for those of you who have used the catless x pipe from TSP. Where exactly does it attach to the stock exhaust? I’m looking at the pics, and i can’t tell. The instructions online say to cut in front of the stock x pipe. Am I reading this wrong or would that leave me with two x pipes? Couldn’t find too much info online from those who have used it.

i did tsp headers with catless connection pipes and axle back with oem x pipe but i would remove the cats. install the catless connection pipe. Line up the x pipe and see where you need to cut. cut slightly short the first time. easier to remove more piping then adding.

So you kept the stock x pipe and Just bought headers and connector pipes?

yeah it was like 650 bucks or something and you actually get horsies and sound out of it. does require a tune though for headers. stock x flows good and is non resonated already so it wont be much louder if at all. just have a shop straight pipe the crushed sections for like 100 bucks. crushed pipe doesn't reduce power at all unless your running big numbers so even that isn't a must.

Keep in mind the oem xpipe is more restrictive on a auto than a m6

Yes I know. I’d like to get rid of the afm valves but it doesn’t look like the Texas speed x pipe goes that far back.

The Texas Speed Xpipe system is more like a mid length mid pipe. It cuts in just past the factory X about half way back. If you want to delete the crush pipe in the back and the afm valves you'll need to go with Stainless Works headers. They go all the way back. I believe the Speed Engineering does too if you're looking for a value brand.
