Anyone have this (potential) issue with radio playing after turning off car?

I have a 2020 ZL1. Drove the car today for the first time in a month. Backed it into the garage and when I turned off the car and got out, the radio was still playing! Opened the door again, pressed the start button a few times without pressing the brake pedal, got out again and same, radio still playing. Locked and unlocked the car with fob, radio still playing. Finally waited a few minutes and it eventually turned off.

When the car is not running, should't the radio turn off as soon as I open the door?

Have a 2019 and had the same thing happen last week when getting to work. It is the 2nd time it has happened to me. Hate walking away not sure it will turn itself off so I have to sit there like a dummy. Did a little looking and can't seem to find a way to speed up the process of turning the radio off?!?!?

My 2020 does the same exact thing. I have not measured the delay but seems like about 30 seconds after I exit the car and close the door. My car also does not always recognize a flash drive in the USB port. Sometimes I have to remove and reinstall it.

Can you "force" an over the air update? Last week a update request came up a few times, but always at a bad time. Went in and checked for an update this weekend and said that none were pending, even though I never did the update. I would think this is just the sort of thing an over the air update would fix.

Well, I attempted to do that, my assumption was pressing the volume button in would turn off the radio but that seems to only mute the radio.

How do you turn it off?

It's been a while since I muted or turned any of mine off, but it is either a press and hold to turn off, or a press to mute and then a press and hold to turn off.

I have this same problem with my Escalade. I started turning the radio off before I turn the truck off.

Yes you press the button in and hold it until the radio is off! I know about the mute feature that you press it in and it mutes the radio! My 2016 2SS was like that too as well as my 2017 ZL1.

I have not had that problem in my '18 ZL1 but it's happened a couple of times in my '19 Silverado. Hasn't happened in a few months but the last time it did it, it was because there was an over the air update that it needed.

Though it would have told you if it that was what it was doing because it would take 10 or so minutes and you should not turn the radio off.

The very next time I started the car, pulled it out of the garage, I received a message stating an over the air update was available/necessary and if I wanted to do it now or not. I opted to do the update, it had me turn OFF the car and exit if I wanted to. Took no more than 10 minutes.

Back to normal, now everything turns off as expected after I turn off the car and open the door.

I had the same issue with my 2020 ZL1. Radio update fixed the issue.
