Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP like everybody else.
However, 5W30 will still work fine. As will 15W50 for track use. |

At this point with all your mods, you dont need to follow GM warranty guidelines for oil. You must be making a lot more power over stock, I'm guessing +150 at least.
With more power comes more friction and heat, even if the Whipple keeps the IATs down. I have no warranty breaking mods and run my ZLE at the track. I often leave the M1 15w50 in for awhile after a 2 day event. It seems to stop all oil consumption, and I live in Los Angeles where it never gets below 50 F. The LT4 is happy with this oil. You should ask the shop that built your car what they recommend, for heavier protection you can use Valvoline Dexos 2 5w40 or maybe non-dexos M1 5w50 (Rally Formula)--this one is still great for cold start in low ambient temps. They also make M1 Racing 0w50. |

Normal driving with occasional full throttle = Mobil 1 5x 30. As GM says.

Gm says 0W-40 now. This is what they will get by default at a dealership.

chambers, I would check with the guys in the shop that built your engine as to their recommendations of what grade of oil to use unless you did the build yourself! If you did the build then you can determine which grade/brand of oil you might want to use using the replies from the folks here!
