FITMENT QUESTION 2019 Stock SS Wheels
I guess I could throw it up on a lift and verify it BUT does anyone know for sure whether or not you can run the 20 x 9.5 REAR STOCK SS wheel on the FRONT of the car??? Obviously the stock setup is 20 x 8.5.
If a SPACER would allow this on the front regarding using the 20 x 9.5 on the FRONT, what SIZE Spacer would be necessary??? I am running 285 35 20 NOW on the rear and I would like to run the SAME on the front for a square setup using the STOCK 2019 SS wheels. The car is question is a 2019 SS. THANKS GUYS

This question was asked just recently in this section by “ssmofo.” He was going to try it and report back, but I recall other reporting there was interference.
Reference this calculation spreadsheet and specifically the "distance inboard of hub" row: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...93&postcount=6 You can see that the rear SS wheel would stick inward from the hub about 1" further than a stock SS front wheel. If you look at the 3rd column, I know many have run the 5th gen 1LE/ZL1 offset wheel with no issues. I'd be hesitant to have the wheels even further inward than the ZL1 1LE setup, so I think the bare minimum you'd need to push the wheel out would be 0.36" or 9mm. I think the thinest spacer that has a hubcentric/wheelcentric feature is 12mm. Also reference this thread where I posed this similar question (using stock rear wheel in front) and got feedback from others: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...php?p=10522453

The stock rear WILL NOT FIT on the front, the offset is wrong and will rub the strut, you will need a 12-15 mm spacer to make it work; then the tire will poke out, and I didn't want to put longer wheel studs to make it work, went with 245 back on the front yesterday. There are hub centric spacers that will work. I said **** it.

I am going to test fit this combo this week with a 285 35 20 tire and a 12MM spacer and I will get back to everybody with results.

The 295 is too big and will hit the strut when turning. And caint put it out any futher it will rub the fender on a really big bump. The 285 I run is the fk510 and it is a wide tire. As far as the rim it will go stright on and just almost touch the strut with the 39 offset. Problem is the 285 is so tall, and the strut has shch a big seat for the spring. Their is a little wiggle room with the front strut with changeing the camber more postive. That will more the top of the tire away from the strut. A little dab will do you here although I have not moved mine and are stock settings. Frankly a 305 30 will work with a 10.5 rim but you will have quite a bit of poke but the tire is so short its away or below the strut. That was a 10.5 i have for the rear with a 40 offset. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php? can help. This is the numbers I put in for the stock 9.5 rim 275 35 20 with a 39 mm off set postive. Thats as close as you can go toward the strut. Then you can safley move it out by 20 mm. I have heard some do 25. I think 25 would look better. Something to play with. But this reall only does the rim. http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp Heres another one but use the tire width and tall size and this will do more the tire size fit. I mean the tire in inches from like info from tire rack or the manafucture .But when getting into a 28 tall tire it makes the car look lowered but its really just a touch higher. |

I think this it the firehawk 500 i think it was in the 285 useing the 20mil spacer. Then i went to fk500 falken and its is a wider tire in the same size and I had to go to the 15 mil spacer. Only reason I went with the fk was because the firehawk was just a narrow tire but to my surpiise the fk hooks better and is so much smoother a tire I really like.
Nope trhis is the lxxina 295 with a 20 or 15 spacer but its too tall ot make work |

The first wheels the stock ones that look kinda slotter had recess in the back still had to cut the studs down to where the theard part starts. The other crome pvd spoke wheels also stock did NOT have any holes on the back to poke into to so I had to make holes had to make a jig to drill them. This is extremly importand so the studs do not push on the wheel through the spacer as it will loosen the wheel over time. I used a drop of blud lock tight and tq spacer nuts to 85 over 10000 miles no problems. Tendency to tighten them too tight but dont do that.

This is current fk falken 500 now I been running a while. This is the rear as far out as I can go with out rubbing the fenderI got a uphill dip with and hump that i run up and if it makes it past that dip hump at 70 its not gonna rub ha! Its just a tall tire and can move it out futher with a shorter tire and i think looks better but. This wheel sticks out futher than any og the others on the car for what ever reason. I run a extra 3mm spacer on the passenger side just to make it closer to the same weired. So their not all the same
