LT1 Engine Dress Up

Not sure where to put this thread - but I am wondering if anyone knows of a store/shop that sells braided hoses to replace many of the factory hoses under the hood? I am thinking like the PVC system, etc. They all have special connectors on the ends so I'm not sure what to do about that. Any advice?

I'm not sure about braided premade lines except for brake lines. what lines do you want braided? You can buy premade colored silicon hose kits for coolant lines.

Thanks fort he link. I included a pic of my 408 in my 2000 SS where I built braided hoses, but I don't think any of those had special connectors on the ends. In the pic of a stock SS, I circled the hoses I would like replaced with braided lines. I think it would dress it up nicely. It looks like a couple of them I can make myself.

Yeah I make my own lines on late model circle track cars I set up. Could try and get the OEM connectors and see if you could get the right size braided line and custom make it. I don't think anyone has premade lines except for silicon colored ones for coolant lines.

That's a great idea. I'll buy one and see if it's possible. I used to have these handy little tools called Koul Tools. They allowed easy assembly of the braid into the fittings, no more steel fibers stuck in fingers! If it's doable, I guess I'll be buying those again lol

Never used them. Threw the line in a vice with the connector end facing up and man handled it on lol. I don't have to build them too often so mech gloves and hope I don't stab myself.

Mishimoto makes silicon hoses to replace factory in red, blue, black. I just ordered the red to dress up the engine bay.
