Thanks for getting back to me, regarding the question, i don't pop a CEL however running codes my 2016 1ss does display a 0420 code on OBD2 scanner. i know if i pull into the dmv for emissions with my cat deleted mbrp exhaust equipped vehicle, they are going to fail me.
ps. i bought the car modified with just the exhaust, didn't think this would have been a problem when i purchased the car.

i bought my cats from text speed headers and had them welded in.

Converter prices are very high right now with core guys, you are probably throwing away $300-400 if you give them away just so you know.
