ROAD COURSE. Stop trying to make your own definitions of a damn word. If you are talking about a "TRACK", then yes, it is under the umbrella term "ROAD COURSE", but it is more specific.

Guess what. Nascar racers race on, (GASP), a "road course".

What DO YOU consider a road course to be? Most of us have a definition as a place like Road America or COTA. I and most others do not consider a rented/closed straight piece of street to be a road course because it isn't.

As far as quoting me, I think that you misunderstood what I said. I definitely did not say that I went 170+ on a road course, I specifically said on a track. As someone else earlier in the thread posted, a road course is not the only kind of track that exists.

You guys wanna bicker back and forth and insist that the only correct way to think about anything regarding racing is your way. There are straight up definitions for words in the dictionary. And there are definitions for terms. I just posted up a quote on what a road course is. Yet you still want to debate that it is something different. So what do you want me to tell you then? What is YOUR definition of a "road course". And do you have sources to back it up? Road course, road circuit, race track, race circuit, road racing, Nascar, which one are you talking about or which one are you trying to define or which one do YOU think I am talking about?
