AutoX PTM Launch
I had some trouble finding the right search terms for this, so please point me to a separate thread if this has already been discussed.
Last AutoX event (and my first ever in the 1LE), I tried keeping the PTM in Sport 2 / Track for the run, thinking it might be able to help me with its yaw control / diff calibration. On launch (neither launch was with launch control), the car spun the tires slightly, cut power massively, and - with a massive exhaust POP - left me dead in the water on the line. I proceeded to do all the rest of my runs with everything off (which still worked really well), but I'd like to tap into this forum's knowledge base: Does anybody know how to launch this car with PTM on? What am I doing wrong? |

PTM anything will kill your launch 99% of the time unfortunately, I’d recommend just turning everything off and going with it! You will learn the limits of the car quicker and be more comfortable soon enough, plus once you are comfortable you will be able to squeeze more performance out of it at/close to the limit!

Everything off is the fastest configuration. PTM is a great system, but it is still a traction management "nanny" and isn't faster than no nanny. Much safer which is more of its purpose while still being fast.
