Thinking of trading my 2017 M6 for a 2018 A10

I have a 2017 M6 with 3600 miles on it, I recently paint corrected and ceramic coated it, and had suntek self healing clear bra installed on front bumper.
I thought I would love to be shifting gears again coming from two different Scat pack chargers, but I honestly miss the fast shifting auto trans that was in the charger and mostly the remote start. I have even thought about just going to a hellcat but i do really like the ZL1 even though its a little more difficult to get my 3 year old in her car seat. But it is manageable.

I have put time and money into this 2017 and it has low miles. I know I would have to find a later build year 2018 (after june 2017 from what I understand)
but I am not too keen on losing a bunch on my 2017 or having to get a 2018 with over 15k on the clock. All I am finding around me for the 2018 A10's with in 500 miles that are under 10k miles are 52k to 55k. I put money down when I bought my 2017 about 4 months ago and only owe a little under 46k.

I guess my question is has anyone went from M6 to A10 (I am sure there are many) How did you like it? Are you still happy you made the switch?
knowing all the details of my situation would you try to trade into one? Thanks for any comments / thoughts you guys can give.

I had a 01 745/735 Z06 6 speed. Loved it. Had it since new in 2001. But the technology in this ZL1 is outstanding. I love the 10 speed. Incredible car.

Our ZL1 is our first auto trans performance car. The A10 is fantastic. Don't miss a manual, at all...

I can't speak to moving from an M6 to A10 in this generation, but my first car was a '95 Z28 M6. I LOVED rowing that T56. I powershifted the ever-loving-crap out of that tranny. I miss the satisfaction of powershifting and the engagement that offered, but frankly, for the speed and precision I get out of this A10, I don't miss an M6 all that much. I wouldn't trade the A10 for an M6. And I haven't even experienced all the modes yet!!! This 10R90 is not a DCT and the response from the paddles might be a little slow, but GM developed the calibration for the tranny to LEAVE it in automatic, and so far, I couldn't be more pleased.

JMHO.

...until that A10 trans starts to age.

We will see if you have that same energy when they quote the repair costs!

That is probably the only valid criticism of the auto, and it's true... replacement/repair costs will likely be higher.

That said, this is not a car I intend to modify, and it will likely still be under warranty when I move on to something else.

Op, I would keep what you have or you really will be in a financial hole unless you aren’t too concerned about it! I would say hang on to yours a couple of years and then do a trade!

Have you looked into an aftermarket remote start? They can be made to work with a manual transmission.

I have a M6 2018 Zl1 and yes I will definitely sell mine and grab an A10, mine is paid for so not concerned abt taking a bath. The A10 is superior as I go to Mexico a lot for rolls.

I went from a 2016 2SS 6M to a 2018 ZL1 A10. The A10 is an amazing transmission. The TR6060 is the best manual that I've ever had and that is a mouthful dating back to mid 1960s farm trucks (not that Farm Truck).

On the track, the A10 is faster and smarter than I ever was. It makes you a better driver. You'll be smoother and more precise. You just put it in D and concentrate on your line.

I have and most people will not install them because of the safety concern, and I don't really want to modify the car in that way. Would rather have the A10 with factory remote start, less the worry about.

I feel like at least i should get what i owe if i trade it in. Selling it Privately would get me closer to 50k because of the really low miles but selling private party is a pain in the ass.
