YES! So true.

I keep seeing people worrying about 'losing boost' from other mods. THE BLOWER IS STILL SPINNING THE SAME RPM after you install long tubes or whatever, so you did not lose anything guys. The idea that you have to then pulley down to 'get the boost back' is bogus.

The cure for this problem is to install a larger supercharger or smaller supercharger pulley if its available for your application.
Improving Engine Breathing:
Heads, cams, header, cat back exhaust, etc., that increase HP, may lower boost. As with a larger displacement engine, the supercharger speed or size may have to be increased to match the additional air flow/HP of an engine with improved breathing characteristics. The cure for this problem is to install a larger supercharger or a smaller supercharger pulley if its available for your application.
This is not from me or Magnuson but from Kenne Belle Superchargers

@laynlow15, King or others- how do I determine belt size for the smaller pulleys? Looks like the only LT4 pulley ZPE has in stock is an 85mm. What gates belt do I need?
I may have missed it, but what RWHP is the goal now? Now that you have the SC installed, i like to see if you can reach 725-750rwhp without a cam or meth.

in throttle bodies bigger is not alway better it should be sized for your build.

A 95 easilly makes 850 RWHP.

Moving to a 103 might be worth another 5-10 at that power level but near nothing at 750 RWHP.

Cabish? Italian for Understand?

I have gained 125 RWHP 155 RWTQ without pulley changes on my ZL-1

So there is a lot of power through efficiency if you know where to look and how to unleash it.

Thanks for the reply. Guess i was thinking the 103 would match nicely to the 103 snout, but the 95 with the adapter is still being reduced to the 87 snout. That is why i wondered why not just go 103.

The standard snout is larger than 87 so it matches up nicely

Remember even an 87 bore flows more air than an 87 TB due to the blade and shaft taking up space.

ok, Gotcha!!

Ted, have you done any 2650's without a cam or meth but did TB, CAI, LT exhaust, and tune? Just wondering if those are enough mods to get to the 725-750rwhp range reliably?

750 would be easy with a 2650 and about 13-14 psi boost but would max out the fuel system.

Ted.

Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi will be at your house with an impeachment article to have it removed and take your car from you.
