Not much louder at all! Def louder though. But not by a landslide. Sounds way deeper and more BEASTLY, though

Honestly if you're going aftermarket.. even with the valves closed most of them have quite the bark and idle in the cold/morning starts... But I guess the slightly quieter bark/idle with the valves closed could make a bit of a difference. Correct me if i'm wrong, people with aftermarket exhausts w/ valves! lol

As long as I can say it's quieter

I am under B2B for another 6 months. I know dealer probably wouldn't care about an axle back but I just want to be safe. Powertrain still has 2 years left.

Well, when you decide, i think that juicedmotorsports website has the best deals, type in "camaro6" in the promo code for any exhaust and you get a nice chunk off the price.. no shipping or tax either. Or you could buy from the members calssfields in the forum here like me Good luck

Cat Back Resonated, it's a bit (a lot) randy on startup, other than that it's good, AWE doesn't do NPP.

I have the Touring Cat back Non-Resonated with Kooks, and it is...ahem...LOUD!
Louder than I expected, but I have come to love it now...it's AWE-SOME!

A co-worker has the Borla Atak on his Challenger SCAT Pack and it sounds Great!

AWE is a wonderful setup for these cars too, just wish they made a slightly quieter version like the S-type. I think it would still be my #2 choice though, awesome sound and quality.

On the subject of retaining the NPP functionality, what brand offer the NPP besides Borla?

Would it be possible to get a couple revs and post them up?

I have never heard the Borla S-Type in person, but I have the AWE Touring axleback and I can tell you that it’s pretty tame in my opinion. Cold starts are a bit on the loud side, but literally 15 seconds after start up it quiets down pretty nicely but retains the deep, muscle car tone. Quality is very good, but I believe the Borla is a little better when it comes to fit and finish. Of course you pay more for that as well. Love my AWE though!

I've been looking around a little. Flowmaster, Stainlessworks, Hooker, aFe (who I don't know much about) Corsa just recently released their c7 NPP system and should have the Camaro system out soon. I'm sure there are probably a few others, but these are the ones I keep running into when I'm searching.

I had them confused with Stainless Works. Out of the few that retain the function I think Borla might be the best option in my case.

I love the way the S Type sounds. My only fear would be that the OP said it wasn't much louder than stock. Of course, we're all after something different, so that may suit you just fine. I swear the ATAK sounds different. No argument that it's louder, but it doesn't sound quite as good in my opinon. But let's be fair, the NPP sounds good, and frankly ALL the aftermarket systems sound good!
