Absolutely. My only gripe was why not a redeye hellcat or at least a wide body hellcat with 305s, and maybe have a zl1 for the drag race as well. I understand why they wouldn't do a demon or zr1 as they're not being produced anymore, though that would have been cool as well.

This new channel with Jason Camisa might be the first to do zl1 1le vs gt500 hopefully. I certainly voiced it in the comments.

Not exactly. See, in my case, I want a 2020. But I refuse to be taken advantage of. I will not pay a dime over MSRP even if that means I don't get a C8 at all. And there are plenty others who feel the same way. Some dealerships are trying to take advantage. But each case I read about on forums and FB groups/pages ended with the buyer walking out. A friend of mine walked out of the dealership where he got his ZL1 because they tried to charge $10K ADM on a C8. And while people in the Mustang community will tell buyers that they have no choice and that they aren't gonna find one without markups, the Corvette community has been telling people that there are plenty of dealerships selling at MSRP and to NOT pay markups.

You apparently misunderstood. There are markups on Chevys. It's just that we don't pay them and we encourage buyers to not pay them. And we promote the dealerships that are selling at MSRP while steering people away from those that are charging ADMs. And eventually the dealership caves in. Whereas you guys do the exact opposite and are quick to give your money instead of just walking away. Which is why you guys get taken advantage of.

And the reason I suspect is because you really have no other options...besides a $74K 12 second GT350R. Over here we have ZL1s, ZLEs, C7 Z06s, etc. There are plenty of high performance options for us to pick from and all priced in the same area. And most of us are cross shopping those vehicles. You guys have 1 option and that is the GT500. And it has been a 5 year wait. Someone who wants one and waited all this time, or the person who wants a mid 11 sec stock supercharged Mustang with a full factory warranty that won't lose as bad as a GT350R around a track against a standard ZL1 is not gonna settle for a GT350R. And that person is gonna end up paying markups. And while 90% of us are smart and will refuse to pay a markup, there are plenty of, challenged, people who will pay a markup for a GT500.

Comments said brand new mfgr spec tires on both, but that Porsche looked really loose.

At least we have a lap time on something other than VIR. Chuckwalla times, both with Randy driving:

GT500: 1:55.7
GT350R: 1:57.8

That's a lot less of a gap than I would have expected.

Oh you're right. It was a 2.1 second gap. Well that is pretty decent. I still wonder how it'll do against the standard ZL1.

I happen to like the new GT500 and I own a Camaro also.
These are just car manufacturers, the GT500 is a monster and you're emotionally hurt by it, that much is definitely see thru


I also like the ZL1 and C8, can I have a label for that too please!?
I also like the challengers and the old magnum SRT8's and the jeep SRT8 is beast too!
And so is the lamborghini huracan and dodge viper AND that Nissan GTR is a BEAST as well!
