Patience will work out better for those in the market for these things regardless. I was 100% set, deposit down, pricing and option list submitted, etc., on a C8. But when I really sat there and thought about it, I couldn't pull the trigger and spend that much money on a base model Corvette.
Especially since I found a killer deal on a 2019 Z06. These cars will sell regardless. Maybe not for the margins that GM is hoping for but, they will sell nonetheless.

Grand Sports are down to mid 50's around me. If I was closer to paying off my Camaro I would consider it.

I love the C7's and absolutely would get one if I could afford it. I'd be happy with a base one. Best and least expensive way to get one is slightly used with say 8-12K miles on it and let someone else take the depreciation hit. I have seen some advertised as low as the high 30's- manual 7 speed, base.

I ordered a 2019 1LT manual GS last February with a wheel option with a MSRP of 69k , bought it for 58k out the door. Sales tax of course was paid when I registered car in connecticut.

there was a base model 2019 manual at a local dealer for $39K - I thought that was a deal, but after looking into more I determined if I was getting a C7 I would want the GS model, and mid $50K's for a left over C7 as the C8 launches doesn't feel like such a good deal. I feel like that car will be worth $35K before you can blink.

I’d give my left orb to still have my 2013 GS, 60th Anniversary vert that I traded for my 2016 2SS. 3 years after purchasing the C6 GS, I got a little more than half the original sticker ($79K) in trade on the Camaro. Fortunately, I hit all the discounts and rollbacks at the right time (October) and got 23% off the Camaro’s sticker. You win some, you lose some, you keep some.
I’m with Metros11 . . . I semi-retired, enjoy my Camaro and love my kids and grandkids. Besides, who wants a new Z71 4X4 pickup? GPG |
