Hmm, second warning light this kid has had with his GT500. Saw he had to restart the car to get the parking brake to work in a previous video.

I did have to restart my ZL1 once to get the A/C to work. Makes me wonder how well these electronics are going to hold up over the long term.

Clutches were pretty weak in the GT350 IIRC and people with fairly low miles were starting to have issues with them. I know mine would change significantly in clutch pedal feel just on a commute home from work. I always thought it was odd. It's one of the reasons I wouldn't buy either of these cars for a couple of years to see what issues shake out from them.

I know his car went into limp mode, but it was kind of funny to see the C7 go screaming by considering the thread.

The first order at my dealership should be getting his in February. So I would say that is when we'll start seeing them in public.

March or April is my guess. Production is supposed to start 2/2, then the inevitable QC hold for all the early builds. I don’t think anyone will get one in February.

2020 Roar Before the 24 GTLM qualifying results

C8.R showing good potential to contend for a class win in a few weeks. Could it be the "magical" Chevy track alignment?

Hope so, but I predict some growing pains dialing in the car and the need to collect a lot of data across all the tracks. Next year should be back to dominance though.

I hope it isn't that long. My dealership predicts their first customer will be driving off in February based off their order status. And I should be around August. So we'll have to wait and see. That strike really threw things off.

I see the kid with the GT500 has posted another road course video... with no lap times.

Too bad, since Buttonwillow is a track with lots of activity and we could have made some comparisons.

I guess overheating the clutch at the 'strip didn't do any permanent damage.

I'm sure Pratt & Miller have this covered and given today's simulation programs along with all the experience of Team Corvette I hope the bugs have been found and resolved. That said, of course, the only way to simulate a racing environment is during a race, so we shall see. It would be great if they can win first time out with an entirely new program, especially a 24-hour race.
