Would the throttle controller benefit both the A10 and the M6? And same question as ScottyZ do you have the throttle body as well. Or could you get the benefit with the stock TB?

I wouldn't see why not. But ask Mike, he can give you a much better idea of the benefit.

I'm gonna get one of these when I get back into the US. I don't trust the internet connection where I'm currently staying for work.

Like other members said. Both TC and TB benefit both transmissions. The TC effect will also show up with the stock TB, not with same intensity and smoothness (a TB property) but it makes people smile nevertheless.

Just did my install today, the packaging reminds me of Apple products and the instal wasn't hard at all. Installed very clean into the car.

Just purchased mine !!!! Can't wait to see what this thing and their throttle body together will do to my ZLE. Hopefully it will make it drive a little more like my hellcat.

Hi Mike,
I wanted to ask, how does the nature of your throttle controller affect the various modes for the ZL1? Meaning, the Tour vs Sport vs Track etc which all have different throttle maps/sensitivities to pedal input as designed to help with corner exit in Track Mode vs Tour which is much more aggressive in the early pedal range for a better feel on the street. I'm assuming if you map the throttle using your controller to be more aggressive, it will accentuate the stock "maps" per mode by the same amount, essentially making Tour mode faster throttle and Track mode as well or? Also wanted to ask, in the event that the unit fails, is there an auto-bypass that allows the OEM signal to go through the device without causing throttle issues (could be a safety concern if it fails while driving) or does it need to be uninstalled if it fails to allow further driving? Curious if you have tested this, perhaps by removing the power source to the device mid-drive and seeing what happens. A video would be GREAT to alleviate any concerns in this regard. Last item was that folks using a Vitesse Controller have mentioned risk of CELs with throttle controllers like this, usually when changing settings on a running engine or not calibrating it correctly at the get go etc. What experiences have you seen with CELs on your device so far in your beta testing? |

Maps: Yes, it will accentuate stock maps. But the controller has memory for the last level used in each TC mode. So you can always recall your favorite TC mode for each car mode. Safety: Depending on failure mode, it will either bypass to stock response regardless of setting or go to Limp Mode. Such that unintended acceleration is not possible in any case. CEL Experiences: * Do not use with AFM disablers or any other OBD2 device. * Do not install/uninstall while ETC system is energized, wait 10 min after ignition off, open all doors (including trunk) necessary before install/uninstall. * Connectors should click when installing correctly, don't forget to push in locking tab. * Do not pull harness/extensions, always push/pull connectors. * If not sure what happened, disconnect the battery for 15min and check all of the above in the meantime. Reconnect battery, it works miracles. * If nothing works, follow the instructions to the last step. :-) Thanks,

Finally got decent enough weather here to install mine today. This has to be THE easiest mod install I’ve ever experienced. Took about 10 min. No problems at all with the instructions. Very nice product.

I drove it today. Unfortunately I couldn’t do a very comprehensive analysis, with factory tires and 37 degree temps. I pulled out of my driveway with the car in Sport mode and the controller on SP.8. I couldn’t even take off without spinning.
While this provided mountains of entertainment, it wasn’t very productive in assessing the controller. After warming up the tires as much as possible (if you can call it that) and putting some miles on, I experimented with different microlevels of the Controller’s Sport mode and the car in both Touring and Sport modes. I found that under my current weather conditions, i was able to somewhat limit spin with the car in Touring mode and the controller in SP.4. Even with those “mild” combination of settings the throttle feels more responsive (minimal lag between pressing the pedal and feeling acceleration) and the “bog” issue is noticeably improved. *I caveat this with the statement that I never really took issue with the M6 “bog” because I’ve always been able to modulate the throttle by feel and eliminate that as an issue. I can’t wait for some warmer weather to further evaluate the controller. Based on what I’ve seen so far I consider it a no brainer, especially at the price point. |
