averting the VERY SMALL risk of having to deal with an expensive repair is not worth potentially putting your life in danger.

![]() Although if you put the fuse back in before you go back out onto public roads, it may not be such a bad idea. I am curious to see if it would even work as the car was disabled once the system was triggered. Not sure what happens when removing the fuse --> system fault

I doubt it would disable the car, probably just throw a light on the dash.

I have had two separate crashes (intential), where I was promised that the airbags were disabled, or removed (by SPFX or transport dept), and yet had them go off. |

So how big of a deal is this air bag deployment on track event. The video with the guy from the RING didn't look like that big of a deal for air bags to deploy?
![]() I know GM had issues in 2008 with Trailblazer SS's hit potholes and blowing bags. I plan on taking my ZL1-1LE to track days this year, and I dont want those thing going off if I run over a rumble strip or get into a slight yaw. Any news is greatly appreciated. |

well, I did play the lotto after mine happened.
Certain conditions need to be met, not going to affect majority of you. It's an issue that will only occur a small percentage of the time.

Funny reading this thread and seeing so many people try and defend their beloved General Motors like they can do nothing wrong. If you think this is on the driver than either you have very little to no track experience in an actual performance car, or you just plain drive like a _ _ _ _ _. Its ok though, the world needs soft people who just put around the track too. I mean organizers gotta fill up the groups to pay the track for rental fees with someone.
