I will have to thank you for recommending Budd's. Drove 2 hours to get there today and the staff was very helpful. Shane got me in for a transmission flush today. Noticed some improvement in the vibration on my way home but I will have to let the fluid sit for a while before I can say it worked or not.

Probably the best service experience I've gotten with my Camaro.

I know where I'm buying my V8 from now

I had the shudder issue with my Colorado. Dealership told me I had to drive at least 200 miles after the flush before they could move to the next level. My shudder was gone for about 100 miles but returned. I went back at just over 200 miles and GM told them to replace my Torque Converter. They did so and it's been smooth ever since.

Hopefully this fluid works. I don't want a whole TC replacement. Got a Range AFM disabler ordered. If the fluid doesn't work. I will just use that.

SkySerpent, I'm happy to see your progress Don't quit halfway, though, as you said, you drove quite a lot with a shuddering torque converter and it may be damaged, why not go all the way and get a perfect fix? I know it's a long drive and then an even longer wait, but at last you found a great dealership, and a properly working A8 is a whole different experience.

Just my 2 cents' (Canadian )

I have to agree with this statement and philosophy. If your TC is damaged disabling the AFM will not solve your problem. TC replacement in a 2wd vehicle is a one day repair and covered under warranty. I say, get the transmission fixed properly first then disable the AFM.

Just out of curiosity my tuner plugged in his laptop to see if the AFM was causing the TC to slip or not. In my case it's not acting any different in V4 or V6 mode. So the AFM vibration/shudder I am feeling is basically just engine harmonics. With that that said I think I'll skip out on buying the range disabler

Well the Fluid Flush made the transmission feel A LOT better out of the dealership and the vibration was still there but it went away quicker then before and vibration was reduced. However after 300km and 7 days. It did not repair the problem and the car feels similar to how it was before the flush. I will be going back to see if I can get it properly diagnosed with the Oscilloscope and see where they want to go from there. I may just have a minor case of the vibration but it annoys the crap out of me to drive the car with it

Skyserpent..stick with budds..I have been using them for a few years now..they are a top notch dealership and even though shane now is the service manager the staff he has under him, he makes sure they know their stuff.By the way he use to build and race corvettes so he really knows gm performance car stuff.
