I don't see why not if you can actually get it on the pinch weld. I'd just be sure to be on level ground with good wheel chocks.

I use either my floor jack or my quick jack if I want the whole car in the air along with 3 jack pads on each side but would never use a scissor jack due to stability, now if I just want one side up I will jack up the car using the second jack pad from the front then use my hydraulic jack stands on the very front and back jack pads.
