It's just a term...meaning good deal on the crank. Put it together and "send it" down the track. lol

I'm dropping it by my engine builder so he can look at the journal the stuck a bearing. May not be usable and if not I'll buy a new GM Lt4 crank. Yes send it means the same to me, just didn't catch it on the crank.

In this new build (again) I'm hoping to do the DSX low side so I can run some E and race fuel or possibly race fuel/93 or some form of that. I spent over 1000 bucks this year just on VP MS109 and probably a little less last year since I hurt the motor in July at the 2018 Camaro Fest. Just going to a different option on fuel will help pay for the DSX setup. Almost ready to pull the motor, just have a couple hours or less to unbolt a couple more things and pull the valley cover and put the lift plate on in place of the VC. Pretty much everything else is off. Then the tear down.

Sorry for your loss. You have really achieved a lot. I certainly appreciate what you have been able to do up to this point. Moving forward best of luck pushing even harder. I’m sure the next combo will allow even better times. Keep it going

Thanks man, its kinda all up in the air right now till we get it apart. May not push to hard this year and just be happy to come home from the track and not to have had any issues. That would feel good.

Really sorry to hear of this misfortune. I had a brand new oil pump fail on my LS1 Trans Am. Horrible feeling seeing that oil pressure drop
Thanks for contributing knowledge and experience on the forums. We're all kinda in uncharted territory with these newer GM engines. Takes alot of guts to explore the limits

Your welcome, I didn't see it drop as I was making a pass when I happened looking straight head. Didn't realize what had occurred till I look at the log after it went into limp mode. Did you get you issue fixed?

I really don't like this new variable pressure pump, it is just a bunch of sliding metal rectangles with cheezy plastic guide and spring..... I want a new billet rotor old fashion pump please...

Katech has a pump for these Lt1's I've heard. I haven't looked them up yet but probably will once I decide what I'm actually doing.

I have to look and see if the tensioner or chain actually rubbed a hole in the pump as the GM bulletin claims may happen.

Check out the oil pump failure poll in the ZL1 section - I'd insert the link if I could figure out how to do it. There are thirty something reported failures and several pics. It seems that most, if not all failed when the outer portion of the pump cracked at the pivot point. The cross section is very thin in that region - definitely a stress riser.
