This I believe any of the vehicles under Ford Performance are covered for on on track. So Focus/Fiesta ST, Edge Explorer ST/ Focus RS, Raptor, GT350/R GT500 and Ford GT are covered on track but not racing lol

Regular GT and PP1/2 not covered like SS

ALL SS's are covered. NO GT's are covered.

Not in the way that GM honors warrant work. All SS models are warrantied for track use.

GT, PP1 and PP2 are not by Ford - or at least not stated like GM does

No. Lol

The PP1 would get slaughtered by the SS ...which is fully track capable ...with warranty

The Ford Mustang Performance Pack Two Is What Happens When You let Engineers Tinker

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s, 305/30/ZR-19 all around. The PP2-equipped Mustang tramlines on highways, and the ride is harsher than that of a PP1

Unlike the GT350, the PP2 doesn’t have differential- or transmission-oil coolers to allow for extended track time. Why weren’t they added? “We obviously knew we could do that,” Barnes says. “But I’d just say that we didn’t want to go there.

“...In the end, we didn’t want to go that full track capability. We thought this was a good place.”

If you want a full-on track car, get a Shelby GT350R or a Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE. If you want a car to live on the road, the PP2 is your choice.

it’ll perform well against a 1LE in a single lap, it’s just not the right car for an extended lapping session.

From the article:

"Our times are slightly slower than Ford's claims of 3.3 seconds to 60 mph and 10.7 through the quarter-mile, which it admits were for perfect conditions at a drag strip."

So Ford's claim is perfect drag strip conditions - AKA track prep.

As I stated before, I always knew it would go mid-high 10's on a prepped surface, but I also said it wouldn't go 10's unprepped...which is clearly proving to be true.

I think that bit of info was on their little video or somewhere in fine print.

GMs approach of stating times is a better route to go IMO then what Ford did.

I still don't understand a company posting a drag time from not on a drag strip though

Not according to M6G. PP2 lightning lap time was a second quicker than the 1LE, therefore it's the best track car.

Conveniently it's also the only LL time they like, every other one doesn't count because it's not the same day / same driver.

Oh, and Randy Pobst is sandbagging all the Mustang tests because he's a GM shill working for Chevytrend
