For radar detector hands down the Uniden R3. Its ultra long range Ka band detection almost makes you think it's not working right. Pay double the price for something that works no better.

It also doesn't emit any signal (not sure the proper term) so it will not be detected by radar detector detectors.

Arrows telling what direction the radar is coming from would be nice, but easy to live w/o.

I have the Thinkware 550 in all 3 of our vehicles, this is a front/rear system. The new version is out now. Blackvue is a good choice as well, Garmin also makes a pretty decent dashcam system also.

I tapped the rear view mirror keyed hot. I'm not sure I would do the rear facing over again.
Kinda a pain. I did all 4 of my cars. These are from a trip I took coming home from Glamis. Bug guts all over the window.
Poor little car is a goner.

If you’re on a budget, go with the VIOFO A119 V3.
It’s a single dash cam. Excellent Bit-rate, decent resolution, and the customer service to back it up.

The Cannonball Run record was recently broken and they used the Escort Max 360 and a built in NetRadar.

For a radar detector, I highly recommend the Radenso Pro M. There is some good discussion on radar detectors in this recent thread here: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=561420

Personally I like small dashcams without a screen like the Mobius (but that is old and 1080p; GitUp F1C 4K seems to be a more modern similarly sized equivalent) since they are less visible from outside and therefore less of a theft target. It is easy to use a separate rear cam without blocking your view, which can be helpful if you get rear ended to show tailgating and/or hit and run. I can put the microSD cards in my phone or laptop to review footage.

Also check on mounting and windshield visibility laws for both devices in your state and any states you may be driving in.

Also Waze, Google Maps, laser jammer that costs a few thousand dollars installed, plane crash avoidance system to detect speed measuring aircraft, roof mounted thermal camera, brake light kill switch, CB radio, police scanner, 20 leading pace cars throughout the country, and a passenger with stabilized binoculars!

But in our cars at least it is easy to run Google maps on the car's screen and Waze on your phone screen simultaneously with Android Auto to get some additional info besides the radar detector. I encounter plenty of cops both moving and stationary that aren't actively running radar. The stationary ones could be using instant on radar to target individual cars or laser and the moving ones could pace you without using radar or turn their radar on if you pass them at a high rate of speed.

I've got the Thinkware F750 with the rear view camera also. No screen so it's pretty small. The back looks through a window tinted with 30 or 35% with no problems. The camera has WiFi so you can connect with a phone to look at the video, or put the MicroSd card in a computer. Turning on WiFi turns off the recording. The rear view pic is smaller because on the convertible, I had to mount the back camera on a bracket about a foot in front of the window. On a coupe where the camera bracket is stuck to the back window, the picture would be much better.

No camera advice, but for radar I like the Escort Passport as it runs on batteries (no wires, no plugs) and works pretty darn good.

I have the Radenso Pro M radar detector.
Reviews are spot on.
VERY few false alarms.
Picks up threats at a far distance.
Nice small package.
Satisfied with the performance so far.
