Maybe go to the dealership and start up some of the new cars on the lot. They're not 2018's but the new SS's have the same engine. See if the others do it as well. I know mine does not idle smooth as silk. It's not a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry. As long as you are not feeling any hesitating on acceleration, stalling out, loss of power, and you don't have any check engine lights coming on, I'd say it's probably fine. When I first start mine up and I'm standing behind it I can hear a definite almost misfire sound. It goes away once the engine is at normal operating temperature.

I had a slight cam lope in my 2016 SS with the M6 and definitely my LT4 doesn’t have a smooth idle either. It’s the nature of the LT1 and LT4 engines. Don’t think you have anything to be concerned about as long as the car runs good and no CELs pop up! Enjoy the 455 hp and I would put the best gasoline(top tier) of at least 93 octane. I used Shell V-power when I had my SS and alternative between Shell and Chevron in the ZL1. Of course the octane available depends on the region of the USA where you live.

Check your wire / coil connections. I had this exact thing happen and it was a loose coil / wire connection on my #6 cylinder. Snugged it up and it has been perfect since.

it just feels like the car is shaking a very tiny but when idling. It does feel like it could be bad fuel, but its honestly just a side affect of the cam. 100% not dangerous |

I personally believe what the OP is posting is normal. What you're describing isn't shaking but vibration feeding into the cabin from the motor rocking against the motor mounts. My car does this as well and I get a good few vibrations during cold morning starts, infact; my car runs pretty sloppy during cold start and seems to be extremely aggressive and just alittle bit (just ALITTLE bit) choppy/rough idle during first cold starts in the morning, ESPECIALLY if its cold outside. It smoothens out within a few minutes and drives normally after that. I don't think there's a problem. Have them scan the ECM, if they pull no codes, its probably running as intended. I don't know what you were driving before but this is a 6.2L 455 HP V8 motor, this isn't a Lexus. No offense intended of course, but I have to set expectations. High Power cars are alot more difficult to keep 'comfortable' in all areas.

Gotchya, so its like there is a normal idle and you get that jiggles that seems like is coming from the motor here and there. But not always. Am I right?

Same here. Runs a bit rough after a cold start until it warms up. Every V8 equipped pony/muscle car I've ever owned rocked the car a little during idle. It's normal... and awesome. |

Exactly, its way more noticeable on cold starts, but if you are really trying you can feel it even when sitting at a light after driving for awhile

No it’s normal pabex! It’s an LT1 6.2 liter 455 hp V8 engine! Nothing wrong!
