Fun fact, That was indeed first on the list of things to do. What percentage would you recommend and do only some shops offer ceramic tints ? Also would you recommend tinting windshield? I mean any tint is illegal over here in new jersey, but I had front tint on my old bimmer and only got a ticket once over the course of a year. Hands down, this will definitellyy attract more cops, but I dont know. That damn windshield tint makes the car look so nice. Can't decide haha

Awesome color, congrats you never told me it was yellow. It looks even more sinister with those black wheels.

After the obligatory rock guards, make sure you do the "all LED lighting swap" (turn signals, reverse lights, license plate, trunk, side markers), they add a lot to the look for relatively little money.

Nah, I got them one by one, the side markers from Phastek and the rest from amazon.

I run the RPI Designs rock guards that are very similar to the ZL1 Addons ones, maybe a little cheaper. They do look a bit like mudflaps, but it's not bad and $400 for more elegant ones isn't in my books.

Also, Why would you say rock guard are obligatory? Do they help a lot ?

Not necessary if you want to replace or repaint the rocker panels every now and then , but otherwise they help a lot in reducing paint chips just in front of the rear tires caused by the small rocks the front tires kick up. Check the panel, GM already added a small piece of vinyl, but it isn't sufficient.

Didn’t know tint is illegal in NJ!! I can’t suggest anything on tint but the rock guards are a good addition and the LED lights are nice too. GM Accessories has some nice floor mats for sale too! Check the website for them and other accessories that might interest you. And I would definitely consider a Chevy Performance Cold Air Intake for the 6.2. Or consider a Cold Air Inductions CAI system which is cheaper and they make the one that Chevy Performance offers for sale. Have fun with some mods for your SS to make it yours!

Yeah, it's illegal, but the amount of cars with tinted front windows and windshields is surprisingly high, people don't get pulled over just for tint alone. I'm hearing NY have just began cracking down on tint, who knows if this seeps over to NJ.

Yes, I will be definitely getting an intake sometime soon, but not for now. As far as rock guards go, i dont know if its just me but would not that make it little less aesthetically appealing? I feel like that would make it look like a subaru and I dont think American cars look good with mudflaps? Correct me if im wrong. Also I am considering doing 20% tint rear and front windows and 35% on my windshield. Just wanna make sure if you guys think windshield tint would mess up the holographic display on the windshield? I remember having 5% on my old car and 35% on windshield but I feel like 5% might be too dark with camaro which already has a bad visibility and night time driving would be a nightmare with 5% I feel like. Whats your guys' opinion ?

I have 32% tint on my side windows and back glass and nothing on the windshield. 35 is the legal limit here in Georgia but people still get darker tint put on their windows. The rock guards aren’t necessary and they don’t make the Camaro look like a Subaru! I never put any on my 2016 SS even though I had 285/35s for the rear tires. Yeah a CAI isn’t necessary but gives the LT1 some intake noise and a slight hp increase and some say they aren’t worth the money but I disagree. Personal preference you know!

The HUD display might be affected if you put tint on the windshield. Not sure though and you might consider just a strip of tint at the top of the windshield.

Can I see a picture of a camaro with rockguards haha? I am kind of considering them. Also if any people with holographic display have done a front windshield tint let me know, I wanna know if it changes much. Also @Greg which intake do you think is the best?
