another driver mod vote. id guess 95% of my (NLS) 1-2 shifts are executed when the car is not straight and/or hooking. i’ve only had one incident to raise a brow. i hit an expansion joint for a bridge, while spinning in 1st...a split second before snagging second. the car stepped out pretty good. i mean, at that point i was trying to reel in a 3200 lb, 410 gear, big cam m6 lsjuan car. i slept on the hit and ain’t nobody got time for lifting.

WOT in 1st-2nd at that power level without drag radials is asking for trouble. At least in a tuned A8 it is. I do not go WOT in 1st until the car is pointing straight.

Thank you, I guess I just need drag radial in the future for that. Street tires no longer work for me for 1st gear WOT.
