The way I feel today, is the only protection plan for a Camaro is to sell it before the warranty is up.
Completely disgusted with servicing of this vehicle. I am on my 3rd dealership in 18 months, now they scratch my car and say they didn't do it. Ugh.

Personally I think an extended warranty is a good investment if your planning to keep the car. Most of them are transferrable to a new owner [for a small fee] if you sell it. For the most part, they are not that expensive considering all major components are covered along with a small deductible but you MUST buy it before the factory warranty expires. Over the years of owning different vehicles, almost every extended warranty I've purchased has paid for itself over time in just one or two repairs. IE: $50 part [busted air door splitter inside the dash that separates the airflow temperature from passenger to driver] but $1200 worth of labor to install. Also, you have to negotiate the price because the company makes a profit off it, obviously. And, as been stated here by others always tip the service guy and the mechanic. Case in point: new rack for my jeep along with one broken motor mount. "Hey, you want me to swap out the other mount just in case?" I sure do and that mount went under the extended coverage warranty as well! Deductable paid- 200 bucks for a very expensive dealer installed job.
