Taking off suspension from a totaled ZL1 1LE

Recently someone had a ZL1 1LE but due to the weather as of today, it has been mostly flooded and he says it's practically totaled. He's offering to sell me parts of the car, including the suspension.

I'm wondering has anyone taken off the DSSV off a ZL1 1LE originally? Is it a straightforward job to? And would the water (the rain water was up to the tip of the upper grill as the owner told me) be having any effects on the DSSV in the future if I install them on mine?

If its salty water at all it is going to promote rust. To me this would diminish the value of the parts.

Removal should not be that bad a typical macperson stut remove/replace job.

I wouldn’t fool with the car because of the possible salt water contamination! Just my .02 cents worth!

As long as there is no surface rust all of the DSSV dampers will be fine. No different than those very same dampers being exposed to the elements and weather from normal driving.
