Cam or high flow injectors
Just curious if the katech 30% higher flow injectors will provide the same results as a cam with a fuel lobe? Is it the high side pump that starves or too small injectors? Thanks.

It's all of the above really. The injectors are a necessary evil past a certain point. Conversely, up until a certain point, a cam and low side or booster can keep you safe. It depends what HP you're talking and where your goals are.

I'm knocking on 700whp. I know the tune was backed off a bit to keep things safe. I've also heard that 700 is where the fueling issues start to appear. A cam and valve train is deeper than I want to go. I was just curious if similar extra headroom could be gained with just high volume injectors. Thanks for the reply.

No, because you have to flow more high pressure fuel, which is supplied by a pump driven by a special fuel lobe the camshaft. To get more fuel from that pump requires an upgrade to the fuel lobe on the cam.... which means a new cam.

Also, you will likely run out of low side fuel to feed the high side before anything.

Seems like cam and low side is what’s needed to support up to 800whp. I imagine after that larger injectors and fuel pump are needed. From everything I’ve read or countless videos I’ve seen, this is the consensus.

Assuming you already did lt4 injectors and hpfp.
Do you have/plan on doing any meth? I would 100% do the cam before the overside injectors

We have had plenty of cars in the 700rwhp with the stock fuel system. Anything past that we recommend a cam and a low side is needed around 750rwhp and up. This is assuming 93 octane. We have had the stock LT4 injectors and pump past 850rwhp. The injectors are nice insurance but without the proper high side pressure there isn't a benefit.

Thanks guys. Again I was just trying to determine if there was a work around to doing a full cam swap and valve train. At 670+ whp I already have more power than I can use on a road course. I am likely done, but you never know
