Bypassing Whipple bypass valve

The Whipple supercharger has a bypass that is vacuum actuated, that way the blower is not compressing all the time. To my knowledge the old superchargers didn't have this feature, does anyone know what would happen if I disabled it and kept the supercharger "on" all the time?

So the blower doesn't just "kick" in and break the tires loose, I feel like I would be able to learn the throttle curve better. Just a thought.

That can be addressed in the tune. Sounds like it needs work. Driver demand and timing map will effect this.

Kings right, might have a little too much timing down low and a couple degrees can make a difference .

The reason they have it is to reduce parasitic load during part throttle cruising. Gas mileage will drop and you don't need the ponies @25 mph.
