Of course it wont be better, and its over 4200 pounds. This thing is expensive for what you get when you look at the whole package and not just the magic run by Evans in a pre-production car 6 months ago.

Why didnt they put a variant of the 10speed in it? From the reviews ive seen the gearing is a little odd. 7 gears where it tops out at 180 in 5th. So 1st almost gets you to 60 and 2nd runs to 90? It just seems like on a track you could end up in long gear pulls as oppose to the constant sweet spot you find in our fabulous Zs

It seemed to me that Ford tried really hard not to release the weight until they absolutely had to. That was/is telling to me. I still can't believe it is that much heavier than a GT350, it's nuts.

Exactly, although I still love my F-150. But yah, I can't imagine buying another FP car anytime soon, much less one with a huge (or any) ADM.

THIS!!!

Unfortunately, I don't think it will be. The high demand price is all because of the Shelby name, performance figures, and limited run production numbers.

The interior of ANY current performance Mustang does NOT justify its price tag. The Camaro isn't Audi nice, but it sure is a hell of a lot nicer than the Mustang. Way too many cheap plastic trim pieces, and fit/finish issues.

This is very much a niche car catering to a select audience. Especially in CF trim and at around $120K, I would be thinking Porsche GT4, or used GT3, most certainly not any Mustang or Camaro for that matter.

I don't see how anyone can cross shop a ZL1 and a GT500 anymore.
The price gap is just that wide now.
Most of us paid 58/59k for our cars, GT500 base plus tech pack brings it to 84k I'm not including ADM etc.
That's a 20k difference!!
Question is do 10's and 760hp worth 20k to you? That's a lot of money to part with.

The GT500 has these newest specs and 0-60 times. 0 - 60 is only 3.3 seconds. Barely faster than the ZL1. A lot of money and show for only just a Mustang that is barely faster. Not worth it at all.

No kidding, here is a clip from M5 article.

"The new 2019 BMW M5 went on sale just a few months ago, and recently, we got our hands on one for testing. Performance figures only tell part of a car's story, but they're relevant today—the 2018 M5 hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds."

I was really surprised they went with an after market as well...only because they poured so much $$$$ into it. Maybe wanted to be different than GM or tried one & had issues?? No manual from launch & only the dct offering was even more of a head scratcher.

Yes, me too. I thought the whole point of the joint venture was to use it in the next car. Since it was manual only in the 350 the A10 was a lock. But no, there is no understanding Ford sometimes.

This.
The best the press guys could muster on track was 11.2. And that was one guy. It will be interesting to see what the average joes can beat out of it.
