Which Coil is this?
I happened to notice the lower right corner (facing car), of the front most facing 3/4 length coil, has what appears to be leak. I cleaned the area and will check it periodically. (Although it will be in storage soon)
What coil is this? I’m guessing it has something to do with the SC cooling, as I didn’t see this coil on a SS bumper removal video (gotta love YouTube). What’s entailed in replacing it... removal of bumper? Does anyone know? I seriously hope it’s just some oily debris and that’s it. It would be a bummer to have to dismantle the car at 1600 miles. Just noticed that the second cleaned picture is rotated 180 degrees. Not sure how to change. Thanks... Last edited by Chutzpah; 10-27-2019 at 03:48 PM. Reason: Unexpected picture rotation. My 2019 was doing the same thing. I also noticed it and started to worry. However, After 4000miles, it never leaked coolant. I did just replace it with an upgraded weaponX heat exchanger and it’s made a good bit of difference. I wouldn’t sweat it though

Also, yes you will have to remove the bumper. Not a bad job at all, just a lot of screws/hardware

Thanks Slik... that makes me feel better. Like you said, the bumper removal doesn’t look too bad.
Good luck w/ the WX unit... if mine show further signs of leaking, I’ll check in with you to see if you’re still happy. Looks like I could change it myself, and while there, might as well upgrade. |
