Defrost vent cover?

It's been a while since I did any reading up on the issue. My Zl1 suffers from the defrost windshield vent leaking when closed, causing window to condensate pretty much all the time. I remember this being an issue on early 6gen models. Anybody happen to make a cover or neoprene pad or any thing similar to cover the vent? I figured some industrious forum member may have come up with a solution other than taking to dealer for the ridiculous "fix"

I ordered one of these. Cut it to fit and was able to wedge the edge of it down betwixt the windshield and dash. No more fogging of the windshield.

There was a guy on Facebook selling them and I ordered a set for $20. Took me 5 minutes to put them in.

Was that the guy who was popping up the top of the dash and inserting them under the vent cover?

That looks like nice material to use for this. Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any pics of the final product in place?

The pic on the Facebook site looks a little sketchy, but I'd be interested to see how it turned out and how it looks installed. Do you have any pictures of it 'installed'?

I can take some but you really can't even see it as it's under the vent.
