The sad part is, they already built it on the same chassis, the ats coupe

Why oh why could they not put an lt1 in the ats-v

Well it was a good run while it lasted. Think about all the different models of the past.
Impala SS
Chevelle SS
Monte Carlo SS
SS
Camaro SS
Malibu SS
Trans AM
GTO
442
Grand Sport
Grand National

All were the way it was. Enjoyed the ride and times... Hold on to whatcha got..

Trucks, EV's, and SUV/CUV is what is wanted or shoved to the public...

I like the design and looks of the 6gen too as I have owned 2 of them! At least one thing you can say is the 6gen Camaro has its own distinctive look and doesn’t look like any other vehicle on the roads today. That’s what makes it special to me anyway. The visibility problems are solved by adjusting the rear view mirror and side mirrors and also using the backup camera feature but seat time driving the car makes the visibility issue better. If you want a higher roofline and lower belt line and bigger trunk buy a SUV or 4 door car in my opinion.

THIS. After adjusting my mirrors properly I have no blind spots.

Also, I wouldn't assume anything solely based on rumor:

I agree...When I see a 6th gen coming at me from head on it just stands out of the pack. Challengers and Mustangs just blend in. I have no issues with visibility, I am accustom to using my mirrors for navigation and not turning my head. I am also the type that could back a semi-trailer into a parking spot with only a 1/2" clearance on all sides, so it doesn't bother me. I love the cock-pit feel. That being said it does need some changes to become more appealing to the masses as a daily, because let's face it the majority of folks on the road can not drive, but even then I am not sure it would matter. Everybody wants CUV,SUV, and Trucks for daily drivers these days. I personally like having a small SUV for a work/daily commuter.

It’s not the practical ability to see that bothers enthusiast. It’s the driving experience.

High visibility is critical to the driving experience. Obviously the camaro is still awesome, but it would be so much better with more visibility.

The cockpit feel is more from the seating position and layout. You can still get that feel with more visibility.

I guess a Camaro is not for you then, GuywithL86!! I think if you drove one and got used to driving it you would feel like some of us owners here on the forum.

The damn pedal lag was a way bigger probably to me than any rear visibility issue.
This guy probably needs to stay away from corvettes too.
