Modified/Cordes Valley Cover on LT1 w/ LT4 Fuel Pump

So after doing some digging - I have heard of at least one place modifying stock LT1 / LT4 valley covers to lower the surface on which the HPFP sits in order to be able to maximize the stroke of a LT4 HPFP with a 38% fuel lobe.

The information I heard in the past is that you can only run a 32% lobe on a LT4 pump, but you can run a 38% lobe on a LT1 pump.

After reading all the way thru the Pony Wars article, they state this is the configuration used on the Camaro (they say nothing in the article about the valley cover) where they are using a LT4 HPFP was & Injectors with a "custom" CompCam with a 38% lobe.

Unfortunately trying to get the information from the vendor is impossible. They won't even sell you the cam, tell you if it will work, or give you much detail about it.

Has anyone else dug into this? The magic unicorn of "950hp on a LT4 fuel system"?

Am I barking up the wrong tree here, or is this something nobody has looked into?
