We’ll see what’s next after my move East. CARB is limiting. I’m thinking an ARH long, big gulp, 112, injectors, flex fuel and tune. Depending on where I wind up next summer.

Apologies if i missed it, but is this a magnuson canned tune?
If so, i wonder what an aftermarket tune and e85 would put it at |

Its a very mild tune and what we have to do for Cali emissions. We just had one of our shops finish an install with an A10 and made 765 rwhp at 6500 rpm's, it did have headers, big gulp, NW103 on 85mm pulley. Then they did a 50/50 mix of 93 and race fuel and made 843rwhp at 7000 rpm's. No Meth or water tank to help cool the Iat's, why would you need them anyway when the Iat's barely exceed a 100 degrees with 6 back to back pulls on the dyno. So if you wanna make mid 700's+ with no internal mods on 93 octane with just addons which most do anyway then Magnuson's 2650 will be a great option to add to your Zl1.

Would the OEM cats to cat deletes provide a big jump in power for the 2650?
I have the regular roto-fab and TM TB...along with cat deletes in the box still. Interested in the 2650 this winter.

...and it looks like Ted is now also working on a 2650 option: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=563114 I don't doubt he'll get the gains he's touting. So I'm sure similar results can be done by Magnusson with the right tune and combination of mods. Last edited by Gunkk; 10-05-2019 at 09:01 AM. |

Those are nice numbers! I was hoping for more, but forgot a couple details.
I wonder what a CAI and 103 would do. Hopefully Magnuson will add boost numbers, just for reference, because I'm interested to see how this compares to their Z06 numbers. If I could get away with a CAI and 103 and post what Mike did on his Z06, this would be awesome. Hopefully Magnuson can post a little more information.

Thanks for the answer. Congrats on the new setup, keep us up to date how it does for you.
I’d love to just take the money for headers and apply it to this upgrade instead. Not gonna lie, kinda want to skip the header install too lol. Hope to find out one day how this and a flex tune would do with just a TB and CAI. |

@Markoz28 yes 91. That’s the best we get here - other than a few stations that sell race gas. @jvandy50 you may get to see an answer to your question - I may get a new snout 103 and big gulp. We’ll see...I did let a friend drive it this afternoon and he lost his s@&$!

I will probably do one or the other eventually, I’m in AR so no emissions. There looks to be more room for the install than there is on an S550(that passenger side is a bitch). I always love the sound anyway...being lazy for the time being lol |

Won’t have new dyno numbers but will have seat of the pants info soon. Just picked up some parts from the classified section and am impatiently waiting on their arrival. Hope to get Ted J. to remote tune for the mods after install.
