front spring spacers

I was just reading in the 2019 hi-performance supplement P. 40 that front spring spacers are supplied on Zl1 to help loading on a flat bed, was wondering if anybody got them, I did not.

when your car is first brought in these should be removed during the initial inspection at the dealer.... along with the plastic removed from the seats and any other transport hardware.

The pre delivery inspection that every dealer is supposed to follow, lays out what they are to do. The springs are to stay with the car. Look where the spare tire is, they might be there and are a orange color.

These spacers are for any vehicle with the magnetic ride suspension. Many dealers don't do the PDI and the spacers are left on the car. Which will mess up the suspension.

Check your glove box to see if the dealer put them there.

Since I bought my ZL1 used, there was 1 orange spacer in the car when I got it! Wonder what the part number is for them as I would like to purchase another one.

Is there any way to make sure the dealership did this visibly without getting under the car? I am assuming my dealership did it as I haven't really felt anything abnormal with the suspension when driving.

If the front end seems to be high or there’s a noticeable gap between the front fenders with the top of the front tires then they might still be there.

No need to get under the car or lift it up to see if it's there. Just get down on 1 knee and look at the top of the magnetic suspension and if you see something orange. Then it wasn't removed. You'll then need to lift the front end to take it off. Or take it back to the dealer and have them complete the PDI and annotated that they didn't do this so if you were to ever have issues with the suspension.

I think people have said the car rides real rough with it still installed.
