Significant vibrating while braking at highway speeds

I had my rotors all replaced under warranty at 40,000 km and about 2.5 years old as they were vibrating like crazy while braking. Now at 3.5 years old and 60,000 km they are vibrating again any time I brake over about 80 km/h. So now I don't have warranty, did I just get super unlucky and I just need to get new rotors? Or is there an underlying issue here?

Have a good mechanic inspect everything. Ball joints, struts, suspension links, alignment, tires, and brakes. It could very well be another warped rotor issue or there may be some other underlying issue if it's reoccurring.

The SS has stout brakes, I wouldn't think warped rotors would be a big concern unless you're tearing it up hard.

Sounds lie rotors to me. Especially if you feel the brake pedal pulsating.

Agreed. Had that same experience with my V6 1LE.

I think it's the garbage OEM brake pads that cause TONS of brake dust, they must build up on the rotors really fast

They're anything but garbage. I never had a buildup problem, and to me, having to clean the dust a bit more often in exchange for supreme braking performance is a pretty good tradeoff.

This is not to say OP's problem can't be caused by dust buildup, it's definitely worth checking along with the suspension and alignment.

I meant I wouldn't think this car's rotors would warp at all, let alone two sets in three years.
