Intro and questions

Hello All
New to the forum and just got my 2019 ZL1 M6. You guys are a wealth of information thanks for all that put time into posting. I have been over the oil change thread and just wonder if anyone has a lock on the most current cheapest place for the Mobil 1 Dexos 2 0-40 ESP with shipping? I have followed the links and some places charge 30+ bucks for shipping.

Also i cant find really any thread about any major mechanical issues with these cars. Are they mechanically just that solid and built to last?

I haven't been through the TSB completely. If someone could respond with the up to date bulletins for the 2019 ZL1 M6es so i can be aware of what to look out for i would greatly appreciate it.
Also any tips and tricks or info a newbie to these cars would need to know but not know to ask or look for
Again thanks to all on this forum your passion for these cars has me really excited to have gotten one over the Shelby gt350

I gave up on the 0w40 from Mobil1 and use the alternate Valvoline until the other is more available.

This stuff is usually on the shelf @WalMart

Valvoline 5W-40 MST SynPower Full Synthetic Motor Oil

Sometimes Sams Club has a deal on them for $28 a case and free shipping. Max you can get is 5 cases at a time

You are right on Speedway being the best I have found on the web so far. The 0W-40 ESP DEXOS 2 is hard to find.

Shouldn't you have 2 free oil changes waiting for you at the dealer? That could get you through the first few thousand miles.

uh-oh, I just noticed that I've been using the Mobil 1 0w-40 "European Car Formula". Is that different than the ESP?

While I'm a big Thomas Sowell fan, I'm not sure he had dealership techs in mind LOL. After all they actually can have consequences for being wrong.

But I get it. Some folks like knowing their stuff is right. I tend to agree, though I'm of the age now I've gotten tired of lying on concrete under cars and so I lead the dealership handle most stuff these days.

Why do I only have one free oil change? Is it dealer policy or GM policy that dictates this?

Thanks
