Not a fan of how he removes a radiator. Can cause some serious issues with this. Also makes no mention on making sure you get the right size push rods. Anyone who isn't aware of this and thinks cause it comes with the kit can get themselves in trouble. Cause most kits don't take in account for shaved heads, hydraulic or non hydraluic lifters. Need to always check for lifter preload!! Can really mess up your valve train not getting right size push rods. He takes short cuts that really shouldn't be made. If you want a really good guy Follow this guy. he does it right and best guide out there.

Read that thread a while ago... while you are right about how detailed he is regarding all the other stuff like PTV clearance and stuff. He also pulls the engine out, that's a whole different ball game. Not the purpose of the OP's video. ALL videos and how-to's should always be taken with a grain of salt and not as a step 1 do this, step 2 do this.... even tho OP's video does say guide; I don't see it that way... but more of how HE did it and showed the world. I think he actually mentions that in his video.

I am not saying it wasn't hard work, or not a good reference and he took the time to video it which really adds to the time of his install which can very much be appreciated. Just these types of videos can get someone in trouble with information missing, and proceedures being performed incorrectly.. even though he does put a disclaimer out there, unfortunately inexperienced people out there will take this as a step by step how to. I as well view it as a good gauge what it takes to do a cam swap while engine still in the car. But just wanted people to be aware that there are a few things to be aware of in video and not use this as a single source of a how to. Which is why i added this link to a good reference, because the info that was missed in the video i.e. torque specs, lifter preloads etc. is covered in the guide i provided and felt its very detailed. I understand engine was removed in this guide, but still very much applies regardless if done in the car or not. Because obviously if you are doing it in the car as the video shows it is doable, some steps can be emitted. As much work as it takes and how expensive this engine is, figured as much info as you can put out there.. (and i can speak from experience cause i successively did my own) for who is new and researching how to do this and summoned the courage to do it.. may be very valuable to them and may even save them some heart ache..

Pretty sure this wasn't a lesson. Just showing us basically how to do it. Anyone doing there own cam swap will be looking at multiple sources on how to do it. This video is a great start.

I know, i am only adding a reference is all. I found it very helpful when i did my own. Its a easy to read guide for for when you want some clarification on the gm manual. Wasn't trying to put anyone down.
