Which dealer? When i looked up Chevy Performance, Stingray was the only one listed unless you go to Clearwater.

They double dipping? like when the SS guys were buying the gmpp cai and getting the maf curve cal at the dealer that comes with it. The dealer gets paid from gmpp when they enter the code for the cal then they tried to get the customer pay(again)

That is bullshit. The update is $350. I would go to another dealer.

Sorry for delay...it was 280 for the tune. The rest was an hours labor. This is at Ferman Chevrolet in Brandon Fl. It appears that any dealer can do it...they just contact the tech support call center and they walk them through it. It is like a flash from what i understood.

How long did it take for them to flash it? I think i would ask if i can watch them do it. Otherwise how do you know it was done since there isn't any new screen menu.

Zl1 1LE A10

Has anyone done the drag race calibration on a ZLE A10? One dealer told me it wouldn't work. The other said it would...

It lightens your wallet.

Personally, I'd prefer 100 gallons of premium gas. I have a sneaking suspicion they did this to protect their warranty from owner's who drag their ZL1's...and they make them pay for it. Brilliant, if true.

Most of you may not know this, but the main suspension bolts are torque -to-yield "TTY".....this means they are a one time use only!!!

Every time you align your ZL1,SS, SS 1le or ZL11Le, you should be using BRAND NEW GM bolts (if you are using stock bolts). THE BOLTS MUST BE AT THE PROPER TORQUE SPECS.

If you have your car aligned using the old bolts, you may experience irregular rear end pulls during WOT, sweeps, uneven pavement etc...etc.

The other reason you may experience unusual driving characteristics during spirited driving is the tire conditions, diff fluid, or tire pressure may be off for what you are trying to do...

...stock is 650lbs tq at the crank...that's alot for a stock car.

Just my $.01.5....

I don't think the geometry is the same due to mag ride in the zl1 vs the coil set up in the zl1 1le. However, I can imagine GM cut cost by using the same type of bolts for both packages.
