Rotofab, Corsa and NX lid without a tune

Think I could get away with a Rotofab CAI, Corsa Xtreme + (secondary cat delete) and NX Lid without a tune? I don't trust tuners around here nor do I want to go down that road yet.

Don't need one for the exhaust or the CAI. Don't know about the NX lid, but my gut tells me no.

NX lid
-The NX lid has been shown to increase supercharger whine, but not HP.

Rotofab
-HP Gains claimed by rotofab without a tune have not held up on customer tests.

Corsa
- OEM exhaust is not particularly restrictive. Removal of the two crimped areas with open 3" pipes resulted in zero performance gains on independent testing. Catbacks in this car do not increase HP

So, that's ~ $3,000 in mods that do not add to increased performance. The short answer is, I don't think you need a tune for those. But, a tune it self will take advantage of the increased air from the intake.

The sound will be worth the price though.

Oh I agree, the sound will be night and day improvement over stock. For what this car is, it sounds waaaay too tame in factory form.

I was just pointing out that mods that aren't designed to increase HP usually don't need a tune... these three mods, despite what the advertisers claim, don't improve HP.

650hp is plenty... lol... that's what we all thought, but you will be bitten by the bug

I have a Rotofab, AWE with performance link pipes, NX lid, and ported TB without a tune. I have not experienced any issues.

Buuuuullshit they don’t add power. I gained 54 RWHP (same dyno/same operator) with a RF, Katech 87mm TB, and Borla 60606 with a Kooks axleback. Currently at 627 RWHP with my stock tune 2018 M6. Next mod is a ported blower.

yeah, me too... not even going to reply to that .. I have RF, TMTB, headers, 2.3" pulley, and full catback with a tune, and am doing the same numbers... I don't argue with dynos because I know they can be made to do some interesting things... but I'm sure if I drove to TN, and we ran against each other, our traps would not be the same.

dynos don't mean anything compared to trap times... and there is simply no way a non tuned Zl1 with bolt ons hangs with the same car with a pulley, headers and a tune..

And if you check my signature, you'll see that my Tuner (Kushan) is the guy that wrote that article on mainline dynos, and he's the one that tuned my car, so I'm pretty sure my numbers are accurate
