Sounds like a lose, lose
I don't think so. It's pretty simple really. I state what I want, they refuse, I sue for a large damage amount. They've already admitted fault, now it's just a question of how much it's going to cost them, they have named one figure and I want another.

For example, I want my car fixed the way it was and I want $8,000 in diminished value. How do they turn that around on me? Worst case I get the legal minimum Georgia requires.

I'm not stupid enough to sue demanding they fire someone, even it that's what really prompted the lawsuit.

Right, but they DO sympathize with car dealerships. I don't know what world you live in but in mine not many people are fond of buying cars or of interacting with dealerships.

Reasonable people listen to both sides of an argument. That’s the world I live in.

Your family of lawyers called, they are asking for you to stop misrepresenting them and throwing around their litigious services as if they are free.
(Please don’t sue me... )

LOL, OK, I'll let you slide this time, even though you admitted you work for a 'tough' dealership.

That's what I like spending my money at establishments that are tough on their customers, damage their vehicles, conceal the damage, then get upset when I'm upset. I bet you get a lot of return business.

Sounds like you shot your wad and it ended up on your face, OP. Ask opinions (and got some solid advice), then end up doing what the F* you planned to do any way. Now you have a jacked car, all kinds of headaches, and a rap sheet on the car.

Maybe next time, when people offer to make it right, you'll give them a chance. If it wasn't to your satisfaction, (which I'm sure it wouldn't of been since you wanted to dump the car and thought you had the perfect out), then you could get tough.

And, obviously, there is ALWAYS 3 sides to a story, your truth, their truth, and THE truth. We are only hearing YOUR version and everyone agrees you choked. Just imagine if the dealership posted what they feel happened....

I guess I should correct it to all the people with business sense. Thanks for pointing that out....

(and yes, you can handle this situation any way you'd like too)

Yup... I've both sold cars, worked on cars and bought cars.

Even the best dealers have policies about how to deal with situations that are not allowed to be deviated from without the owner or manager's exception, and you have to have a good reason for the exception.

The biggest issue for dealers, both in sales and service, is owner's are so emotional about their cars and this is a perfect example... I've sold both cars and electronics, and you can tell people facts about electronics and they buy from you. Tell them facts about cars and they buy from someone else. Sad but true. People's egos and emotions are so tied up in cars it makes rationality impossible. The best salespeople may know nothing about cars at all... they know how to deal with people's egos and desires.

This is why the GM said deal with insurance. Because the OP is too irrational and wouldn't give the dealer a chance to make it right. FFS they took the car and got a shop to work on it in minutes. 100% they were buddies with the dealer and doing them a favor... for you! It doesn't mean they'd do a shitty job fixing your car, that's your imagination. I'm not saying don't confirm it's fixed properly, but dude, you didn't even give them a chance.
