Well damn! This is an excellent thread. For everytime I feel like the other half of my facial hair is turning white (which is daily at this point), and I'm starting to come to the realization I'm getting older, all I have to do is pull up this thread for a "pick me up."
I'm 42, still drive like an ässhölë (only 15% of the time now, as opposed to 60% of the time). I might not be your age, but if I'm fortunate enough, I'll be heading in your direction. It's good to see you guys and gals mentally and physically young... You all make the upcoming reality much more bearable =)

Yeah 42 is young as compared to us folks in our 60s-70s!! I believe driving my ZL1 is keeping me younger and plan to keep on driving it as long as I can push in the clutch pedal!

I'm 60 and still love rowing the gears. Even considering dropping a tremec tko600 in to my 70 since my knee's are still good! lol

I think I rolled back a couple of weeks in time yesterday when I went rowing. Especially when younger people see me and get on the side and they want to race. Funny, this one "kid" recently rolled his window down after following me a few lights and said, "Wanna race?" in some rice burner. I said, "Do you think you will win?". He shook his head no, and I just pulled away slow.

I bought ZL1 as a birthday present to myself at 34 this year. The funny thing is I considered a Corvette instead but I thought the ZL1 was more my style and the Vette has sort of an old guy stereotype, but if this thread is any indicator, the average ZL1 buyer age might be even higher. I think the ZL1 is just more immature (in the best possible way), so it's for the young at heart. I hope I'm cool enough to still drive something like this into my 70's.

Senior

71 here and took delivery 3 months ago of a 2019 ZL1 A10. The last muscle car
I owned was a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner with a 426 Hemi. Sadly stolen with only three payments left. My second choice was the Hellcat Redeye, but could not justify the price differential versus the ZL1. Also felt the ZL1 was just a better vehicle all around.

I have celebrated the one year anniversary of my 69th birthday and bought my 3rd ZL1 last Tuesday. I had two 2015’s and traded in my M6 for a 2020 A10.
It’s the 16th Camaro I have owned. I ordered my 1st Camaro in 1969 when I was 20. Black SS396, 375HP, M-22 4 speed with 4.10 gears.

Krops, if you buy a used ZL1 like so many older folks do on this forum then you save a substantial amount of money over a new one! I bought a low mileage used 2017 this past March and couldn’t be happier that I did. What I paid for mine was about the same as a new 2SS 1LE that I was looking to get and found the Z and thought this a no brainer to get it instead of the SS! I used to think like you do about the over 50 folks but have changed my mind since I am in the senior citizens group now. Most of us over 50 have worked over 40 years and still working should have nice cars in our later years to enjoy driving as long as we can afford them!
