ZL1 1LE 10SPEED FOR ROADCOURSE from a mustang owner

1min read
hello everyone. I'm new here.
I'm considering as my next track car the ZL1 1LE 10speed.
Why 10 speed?
I have now a stang 18pp1 10speed. (80% track 20%weekend)
So I'm familiar with this set up.
I'm tracking my car usually12-15 times a year. I'm doimg the MUSCLE CUP in California now.
Mustang performs well on track however I'm reaching the limit of what i can do with her. And also the overheat issues (especially with the 10 speed ) have been a problem.
I fixed them not after loosing a trans (warranty).
Although the car is freakin fast with paddle shifting and can hold the speed of a shelby.
Considering the ZL1 1LE for performance and the amount of coolers she has.

ANYONE here experience with 1Le 10speed on roadcourse?
Especially.
1. Downshifiting. Weird or fast (with rev match)?in my stang this is sometime awkward.
2. Upshifting without issues? (Sometime in my stang 5to6 is very hard
3. Overheat?
4. Reliability?

Please let me know.
I thank you in advance.

Fellow Mustang to Camaro convert. I've tracked my ZL1 A10 regularly for the last 2 years. You can check out some videos on my YouTube if you want to see how it shifts.

1. No overheating. No reliability issues.

2. I leave it in drive at the track and it does extremely well keeping it in the right gear. There are only a few corners where an unexpected downshift unsettled the car.

2. Upshifting without issues? Up-shift is very smooth. The GM tuning of the 1LE transmission is fantastic.
3. Overheat? Not once and most of what I do is in Palm Beach & Homestead
4. Reliability? No issues, change oil, align wheels, and add fuel for the most part.

The car feels like it belongs in a track all the time.

I use the paddles as there are some weird downshifts mid corner in
drive. My car is a ZL1 A10 and the tranny has been really good. Some hard 4-5 upshifts and 5-6 would flare when the fluid needed changing. The A10 is very sensitive to the correct fluid level. Of course this is a PITA as there is no dipstick so you have to use the little check hole in the pan. Downshifting with the paddles has been excellent as it rev matches at the correct moment.

Only when I feel that it can go a gear lower. I tried paddle shifting at all times but it is a very noticeable negative impact to lap times.
