Mine also crackles and pops at throttle lift off and decelaration all the time. Sometimes it also pops at lift off during a gear change. Love it.

I have noticed that my 2016 SS was louder than my 2017 ZL1 is! I pulled the fuse on the SS and I have since pulled the fuse on the ZL1 and still the SS was louder! I put the fuse back in when I traded in on the ZL1. Maybe another reason the SS was loud because of the Cold Air Inductions CAI that I installed and the Z still has the OEM air intake.

Haven’t pulled the fuse on mine, but I do have exhaust locked in track and experience very few pops.

I pulled the fuse the day I brought my car home new. Without a doubt my car is way way louder than when new. Even a few friends and my parents and brother have mentioned how much louder it is. I have just under 5000kms on the car now.

My '19 SS 1LE does it more than my '15 Z/28 did. Sounds nice.

My nephew had evacuated New Orleans for Hurricane Barry and stayed with us. We had some beautiful weather and took a cruise up the interstate going north. On the on-ramp there was no traffic at all and I had traction control turned off and it lit up. Every time it up shifted before the tires got sticky it would make a loud pop, and then when passing through X0 mph it did it again real hard. When shifting at X10 and X30 it popped real hard again, I finally got off of it at X45 and the snap crackle pop was better than a Rice Krispies commercial. I had no idea it would pop like that on extreme hard upshifts too, even letting the A10 do its job. Gosh I love this thing and so glad I did not go for the Z1R. Cold start idle from 5 feet away is 96.5 decibels.
