Hi ted, as you have more and more data to compile, do you still see the cai intake interchangeable with the rotofab?

Not sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish.

We choose Rotofab for all of our Gen6 builds and CAI for all of our Gen5 builds.

Ted.

Now that a lot more data has been compiled and people are using the 95mm TB more, is there anything suggesting the MSD IM with the 95mm TB makes up for the low end torque losses of the MSD with the stock TB vs the stock IM and stock TB?

Torque production it un affected by larger throttle body as the intake manifold has control over that.

I figured as much for the most part, but wasn't sure if the extra flow provided by the bigger 95mm opening better matching up with the msd's snout opening would make a big enough difference with pressure and flow within the intake manifold at that point to effect torque in some small way.

At the very least I assume the msd with 95mm tb out preforms the msd with the stock tb. Is this correct in your experience and observations?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on an msd and 95mm and want to make sure I'm spending my money wisely. In your opinion is the msd with 95mm tb, cai, and headers the better way to go over the stock im and tb with a cai and headers? Do you weigh the msd's top end gains valuable over the low end losses for a what is mostly a street/roll car? Seems to me the positive gains outweigh the losses.

Thanks for your time btw.

I am not going to make any recommendations unless you are purchasing from me then we can have a conversation on how I feel about certain parts in certain situations.

Because If I said anything in either direction people will take it to literally and think that it applies to all builds, that is just not the case.

I provided this data so you can make a generally informed decision on whether these parts are a good fit for you or not but you must study the data, ask yourself a lot of questions then through a process of elimination make a decision, right or wrong it is yours and you will own it. LOL

Or you can give your business to a professional and rely on his/her experience to guide you toward your ultimate goal, You might pay a few dollars more over the internet lowest price but you will have peace of mind knowing you made the right decision.

No different than choosing a cam it must fit the entire build not just how it sounds out the tailpipe or what the internet says.

Ted.

I've been collecting data and reading all the good comparative post on here from all of you guys that have been doing the research for about a year now, way before I decided it's time to void the warranty.. I think I have an idea of what works the best for me but if I'm wrong, I doubt an msd, 95mm tb, cai, and 1 7/8 arh headers will preform too terribly. I'll cope lol.

When the time for heads and/or cams come I'll most certainly discuss that with my tuner. Thanks.

I just installed those same mods on my 17 SS M6. I got all the parts from Jannetty Racing. Excellent company to work with. I went with the ceramic coated Kooks 1 7/8 LT headers and no cats. (Very loud). I have a MSD intake, 95 mm TB with adapter, R F dry CAI, HP tuner, AEM WB O2. We did remote tuning. I got very fast replys to emailed data logs. I have not put the car on a dyno, but the gains are awesome. A cam and heads are in my future. Supercharger would be more power for the same money but personally I rather naturally aspirated.

I agree na all day! As far as the 95mm 6th, there's the adapter plate mounting option and the modified bolt holes option for it to make up to the mad correct?
